Subcontractor Comparisons – Items – Grid Columns

Each window within Expert Estimation has a unique workspace layout. The following is a list of the columns available within the Subcontractor Comparisons – Items window.
When editing in this window, fields that can be modified are highlighted by the Edit (
) icon in the column header.

Information |
The Information column displays specific information about a Schedule Item. You can hover your mouse over any of the icons within the Information column and a tooltip will appear providing you with a description of the icon displayed. |

Select |
Identifies which items are included as a part of the comparison. A check box will be displayed in the Select column if an item can be selected for inclusion in the comparison. |

Line # |
The main identifier for an item. This field is populated automatically to assist in identifying the line in formulae and general navigation. Note: This field is read-only and inherited from the Schedule. |

Item # |
A reference number that can be used to identify the item quickly, this can be supplied by the client to match internal records. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Subcontractor Comparison Items window. These values are inherited from the Schedule. |

Description |
Provides a detailed explanation of what the Direct Cost Schedule item is representing in the project. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Subcontractor Comparison Items window. This value is inherited from the Schedule. |

Quantity |
The Quantity column displays the number of units required to complete the Direct Cost Schedule item. Note: This column can only be edited in the Subcontractor Comparison Items window when an Item is included as part of the comparison. These values are inherited from the Schedule. |

Unit |
The Unit column represents the Unit of measure for the Direct Cost Schedule item. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Subcontractor Comparison Items window. |

Resource Name |
The name of the Resource directly applied to the Cost Schedule Item. |
|
Proposed Resource Name |
When an item is selected to be a part of the comparison, a new resource is automatically generated and assigned in the Proposed Resource Name field. This resource will be used to store the rate of the subcontractor that is selected to complete the item. |

Matrix Item |
The name of the Matrix Item directly applied to the Cost Schedule Item. |
