Direct Spread Allocations – Grid Columns

Each window within Expert Estimation has a unique workspace layout. The following displays a list of the available columns available within the Direct Spread Allocations window.

Line # |
The identifier for an item. This field is populated automatically to assist in identifying the line for formula and general navigation. Note: This field is read-only. |

Item # |
A reference number that can be used to quickly identify the item, this can be supplied by the client to match internal records. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Direct Spread Allocations window. |

Description |
Provides a detailed explanation of what the Direct Cost Schedule item is representing in the project. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Direct Spread Allocations window. |

Formula |
The Formula column displays the formula applied to a Direct Cost Schedule item. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Direct Spread Allocations window. |

Quantity |
The Quantity column displays the number of units required to complete the Direct Cost Schedule item. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Direct Spread Allocations window. |

Resource Name |
Specifies the name of the Resource applied to the Direct Cost Schedule Item. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Direct Spread Allocations window. |

Matrix Item |
Specifies the name of the Matrix Item applied to the Direct Cost Schedule Item. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Direct Spread Allocations window. |

Unit |
The Unit column represents the Unit of measure for the Direct Cost Schedule item. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Direct Spread Allocations window. |

Estimated Rate |
The Estimated Rate column shows the per unit rate of the Direct Cost Schedule item. Note: This field is read only. |

Estimated Total |
The Estimated Total represents the cost total of the Direct Cost Schedule item. This is calculated by using a Cost Estimate, a resource applied to the Schedule Item, or both. Alternatively, when using Genesis edition, the value can be built exclusively from a Matrix Item assigned to the Direct Cost Schedule item. Note: This field is read only. |

Allocated To |
Ticking the checkbox in the Allocated To column will mark the Direct Cost items to be receiving the allocation of Hidden and/or Overhead Costs. This column is only available when the weighting of a Hidden and/or Overhead Cost Schedule Item is set to Item Value. |

Percentage Allocated |
Allows you to specify the percentage of the total allocation that will be spread over on each item. This column is only available when the weighting of a Hidden and/or Overhead Cost Schedule Item is set to Entered Percentage. |

Item Type |
Shows how a Direct Cost Schedule Item is contributing to the project. An item can have an Item Type of either Contributing or Rate Only. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Direct Spread Allocations window. |

Item State |
Identifies the current state of a Cost Schedule item. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Direct Spread Allocations window. |
|
Excluded |
This column identifies whether or not a schedule item has been excluded from project calculations and ultimately, from the project altogether. Note: This column cannot be edited in the Direct Spread Allocations window. |

Indicative Allocated Value |
Shows the allocation amount being applied to this item from the current Hidden or Overhead item being allocated. Note: This field is read only. This value is an approximation as it has not taken into consideration all aspects of the spread calculation. For the calculated spread value, see the Spread Results window. |

Other Allocated Value |
Displays the total costs allocated to item from the other Hidden and Overhead cost items in the project. Note: This field is read only. |

Indicative Total Allocated Value |
Shows the total allocated value from all Hidden and Overhead cost items on the Direct Cost item. Note: This field is read only. This value is an approximation as it has not taken into consideration all aspects of the spread calculation. For the calculated spread value, see the Spread Results window. |
