Resource Explorer

Every project has its own list of resources used to build up the project’s costs. The Resource Explorer is a centralised location for listing, controlling and modifying all resources and resource-related data available within a project.

The Resource Explorer provides an area to:

• Create resources,
• Sort and categorise resources into different Resource Types and Subcategories,
• Remove resources from the project.

The contextual ribbon menu at the top of the window shows all the functions available within the Resource Explorer.

On the left-hand side is the Resource Type Category Subfolder Pane which displays the available Resource Types and Resource Subcategories available within the project.

The main grid area is where all resources are displayed when you first open the Resource Explorer.

You can also review summary information from the Resource Explorer window.

This information includes:

• Where a resource is used within a project,
• How much of each resource is consumed within the project,
• The total value each resource contributes to the project.
